Uma das premiações mais tradicionais da música, o Brit Awards, já tem sua favorita para a cerimônia de 2010: Lily Allen. A cantora concorre nas categoraias de Melhor Artista Solo, Melhor Álbum e Melhor Single.
Lily Allen lançou o elogiado álbum It's Not Me, It's You e o single The Fear, que concorrem nas respectivas categorias. Quem também chamou a atenção foi Robbie Williams, Dizzee Rascal, Pixie Lott, La Roux, e Florence and The Machine, que também concorrem em mais de uma categoria.
No campo dos novatos, a banda Friendly Fires disputa o prêmio de Revelação e Melhor Grupo. Esta edição ainda contará com um prêmio especial celebrando os 30 anos da cerimônia que escolherá qual foi a melhor show feito nas premiações anteriores.
A cerimônia deste ano contará com shows de Lady Gaga, Robbie Williams e Kasabian. A entrega dos prêmios acontece no dia 16 de janeiro no Earls Count, em Londres.
